RHWNG ABERYSTWYTH A WARWICK: LLAWYSGRIFAU BANGOR A REPERTORY DANIEL HUWS
The lecture will be in Welsh.
Gruffudd Antur hails originally from Llanuwchllyn. After graduating in Physics from Aberystwyth University, he studied for MA and PhD degrees in Welsh Literature at Bangor, and in 2019 was appointed as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Advanced Welsh and Celtic Studies in Aberystwyth, with the specific responsibility of completing Dr Daniel Huws’s masterpiece, ‘A Repertory of Welsh Manuscripts and Scribes c.800–c.1800’. He was promoted to Research Fellow at the Centre earlier this year but is currently on sabbatical working on the project 'The Autograph Prose and Verse Manuscripts of 14th- and 15th-century Welsh Poets' at Aberystwyth University under direction of Professor Patrick Sims-Williams. In his spare time he enjoys singing with the Eryrod Meirion folk choir, reading and writing poetry, although by his own admission he feels he doesn't write enough.
