Incoming Students

We receive around 350 exchange students every year from all over the world. 45% of these students come from Europe and the remainder from as far as Japan, South Korea and Australia.

The University’s International Exchanges Office is responsible for welcoming these students.

If you are interested in coming to Bangor as an exchange student, please follow this area of our website: they will clarify how to apply and give you a brief introduction to our services. If you are interested in coming to Bangor as a study abroad (fee-paying) student, please see here.

Why not take a look at our International Student Guide and The Bangor University Prospectus to give you more information about Bangor University, the surrounding area and what to expect. You may also want to check out Student Life on Bangor University's Website.

Please click on the links below to download our current guidebooks and note that information regarding 2018/2019 will be available in March 2018.

All exchange students apply through their home university as the first step: please do not apply to Bangor online or through UCAS. To confirm if Bangor has an exchange partnership with your University, please click here. Your university will send us a nomination confirming your participation and you will receive an information package, including all the forms and details you need, if a space is available to you.

Please see the Instructions page for further information on how to apply and see the Semester Dates page for information on our dates of attendance and deadlines.
