Welsh minister’s has a message for international students
To mark International Students’ Day (17th Nov), the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Vikki Howells MS, has recorded a video message inviting international students to choose Wales as their study destination, reassuring them that they are deeply valued and warmly welcomed.
In the video, the minister highlights the unique blend of academic excellence, inclusive communities, and stunning natural landscapes that make Wales a compelling choice for students from around the world.
“Wales offers more than just a study destination – it's a place where you'll truly belong,” she says, speaking directly to potential students. “Our universities and colleges combine world-class academic excellence with cutting-edge facilities and research opportunities that prepare you for success in today's global economy.”
The message underscores Wales’ commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for international learners. From vibrant cultural experiences to breathtaking scenery, students are encouraged to immerse themselves in everything Wales has to offer.
The minister also emphasised the important role international students play in creating dynamic university communities:
