A Creative Lunchtime: Chinese Knotting Workshop Highlights!
Our recent Chinese Knots and Symbols lunchtime workshop provided a welcoming and engaging opportunity to explore Chinese culture through hands-on creativity.
Led by tutors from the Bangor University Confucius Institute, the session introduced participants to the traditional art of Chinese knotting—an ancient craft rich in symbolism, often representing luck, harmony, and good fortune. Attendees learned basic techniques and created their own handcrafted keychains, taking home a meaningful reminder of the experience.
The workshop offered a calm and enjoyable space for participants to connect, try something new, and share ideas. It was particularly encouraging to see such thoughtful engagement from those attending, regardless of prior experience.
These free lunchtime workshops continue to form part of our ongoing commitment to providing accessible and inspiring opportunities to explore Chinese arts and culture within the University community.
We look forward to welcoming you to future sessions.
