Directory of Expertise
Welcome to Bangor University's On-line Directory of Expertise. Expertise among our academic staff covers a broad spectrum including arts and humanities, education, health, sciences and engineering. The aim of the Directory is to assist journalists and programme makers to access expertise and opinion on a wide range of subjects and topics, available among the University's academic and research staff.
The list is initially, not exhaustive, so journalists are also invited to contact the University's Press Office by telephone (01248) 383298 or email firstname.lastname@example.org if they fail to find the expert they need. The Press office can provide further assistance as well as providing comment on matters relating to the University and higher education in general.
- Subjects can be searched under the A-Z list or by Keyword.
- Remember to use wild card % when searching for subjects that can have various titles such as nursing / nurse education, e.g. using nurs%.
- Please note that some subjects eg climate change may be covered by individuals in several departments, using the A-Z or search facility might be more useful in these circumstances.
Staff can update their entry or be included in the Directory be e mailing email@example.com
Academics responding to direct enquiries from the media are asked to e mail the press office outlining details of the enquiry including date, media contact and subject of enquiry. This enables the Press Office to monitor the coverage given the University by the media.
