Runshaw College Students Explore Business at Bangor in Hands-on Outreach Visit

The Albert Gubay Business School was delighted to welcome students from Runshaw College on the 24th of February 2026 for an exciting outreach visit designed to give sixth form learners a real insight into studying business at university.

Students took part in our fast‑paced Investment Challenge, using Bloomberg terminals to experience real‑time decision‑making and develop key teamwork and problem‑solving skills. Their enthusiasm, energy and curiosity made for a fantastic session.

Runshaw College praised the experience, highlighting excellent communication, warm and knowledgeable staff, and the value the day added to their learners’ understanding of business.

We look forward to welcoming more sixth form and college groups to Bangor for inspiring, interactive business experiences.

The day was exceptionally well planned. Our students loved the investment challenge, the campus tour and the chance to use state‑of‑the‑art Bloomberg terminals. It gave them opportunities they wouldn’t otherwise receive, and we’re already hoping to return with more students.
