Dr Fariba Darabi appointed Co-Vice Chair for Communities and Trustee at the British Academy of Management
Dr Fariba Darabi, Senior Lecturer at The Albert Gubay Business School, has been appointed (Co) Vice Chair for Communities and Trustee at the British Academy of Management (BAM).
In this role, Fariba will join the BAM Executive Committee, lead the Communities portfolio and contribute to the Academy’s strategic direction. The portfolio comprises 24 Special Interest Groups (SIGs), representing a wide range of management disciplines, alongside three Networks and the Academy’s Conference Tracks.
As (Co) Vice Chair, Fariba will support BAM’s Communities by strengthening collaboration across SIGs and Networks, creating opportunities for scholars and management educators to connect, share their academic interests and research expertise, and supporting doctoral researchers across the Communities in the Academy.
Fariba said, “BAM is one of the leading learned societies for management research and education in the UK and internationally. I am delighted to have been elected by BAM members to serve in this role. I am particularly pleased to represent Bangor University within the Academy and to contribute to supporting academics, management educators, industry partners and policymakers.”
