The Albert Gubay Business School Renews Athena Swan Bronze Award
The Albert Gubay Business School has successfully renewed its Athena Swan Bronze Award, recognising its sustained commitment to advancing gender equality and fostering an inclusive environment for staff and students.
The Athena Swan Charter is a nationally recognised framework for promoting equality, diversity and inclusion within higher education. A Bronze renewal reflects measurable progress against previous commitments and a strong, evidence-led action plan for continued improvement.
This achievement highlights the School’s progress in areas such as inclusive leadership, transparent career progression, student support, and embedding equality across teaching, culture and outreach.
Dr Siwan Mitchelmore, Senior Lecturer in Business & Management, said:
“Renewing our Athena Swan Bronze Award recognises the sustained, evidence-led work taking place across the School to advance gender equality for both staff and students. It reflects our commitment to inclusive learning environments, transparent progression, and ensuring that everyone in our community has the opportunity to thrive.”
The renewal demonstrates Bangor University’s ongoing dedication to creating a fair and supportive environment where all individuals can succeed.
