Picture this: the world’s ultimate conman, F.W. Demara – aka The Great Impostor. This individual was essentially a human chameleon who could step into almost any role and convincingly portray it. Teacher, monk, doctor, even a surgeon (yep, for real). He lived for pure chaos and mischief, and his story is wild. In this talk, we’ll dive into Demara’s messy life, his boldest scams, and the skills he used to trick everyone around him. But we’ll also go bigger, asking what his story reveals about society, identity, and why people are so quick to believe in appearances.
