Contacting Tutors
Your Personal Tutor
You will be allocated a member of academic staff who will be your Personal Tutor. Your tutor will be a member of the academic staff in the School in which you are studying (or one of the Schools in the case of Joint Honours students).
Your tutor is normally your first point of contact and you are expected to see your tutor at least three times a year to discuss welfare and academic issues relating to your progress. However, you are not limited to only those three meetings and the more you keep in touch with your tutor, the more they will be able to advise and assist you.
Details of your Personal Tutor and how you meet them will be given to you by your academic School so do look out for that and make sure you attend your first meeting which will be soon after you start. If you have any difficulties with the allocation of your tutor, do not hesitate to contact the Senior Tutor in your school or support staff in your Student Admin Hub. More information on the Personal Tutor System is given in your electronic School Handbook.
