The Management Centre

Part of Bangor Business School, the Management Centre offers a wide range of industry-recognised postgraduate and professional qualifications which will develop your skills and enhance your employability. Qualifications include Leadership & Management programmes, Coaching & Mentoring, Accounting (ACCA) and Purchasing & Supply (CIPS).

The Centre was opened in 2008 having received support from the EU, local government and the Welsh Assembly Government. It is now well-established as a major provider of part-time and professional courses in the North Wales and North West region.

Chartered Banker MBA

The Chartered Banker MBA is a ground-breaking new qualification that allows you to gain the dual award of a top MBA in Banking and Finance and the coveted ‘Chartered Banker’ status, awarded by the Chartered Banker Institute. ‘Chartered Banker’ is the highest professional award available to bankers across the world.

The Chartered Banker MBA is delivered on a 'blended learning' basis through the Management Centre.

ION Leadership

A suite of new leadership programmes for businesses who want to raise their game and grow their leadership skills have been launched at Bangor University. The ION leadership programme is backed with £2.7m from the European Social Fund to raise skills and drive forward productivity and turnover in small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as in larger companies. Spun out from the success of LEAD Wales programme, which for the past 5 years has created 2,424 jobs and generated £52,433,908 net increase in turnover in Welsh Businesses.

North Wales Business Academy

The North Wales Business Academy supports business growth and competitiveness in the region by delivering university-accredited leadership and management qualifications. Supported by £2.8m of EU funds, the scheme enables employers to access training and staff development opportunities with subsidies of up to 70%. The project is led by Grŵp Llandrillo Menai in partnership with Bangor University, Coleg Cambria and Glyndwr University.
