Module WXC-2191:
Ysgrifennu Caneuon

Ysgrifennu Caneuon 2022-23
WXC-2191
2022-23
School Of Arts, Culture And Language
Module - Semester 1
20 credits
Module Organiser: Pwyll ap Sion
Overview

Mae'r modiwl Ysgrifennu Caneuon yn cynnig cyflwyniad i’r myfyriwr i rai o elfennau pwysig cyfansoddi caneuon. Cynigir dadansoddiadau o elfennau sy’n berthnasol i ganeuon poblogaidd o’r 1960au ymlaen er mwyn darparu’r myfyriwr i weithio yn unigol (a lle bo’n bosibl, ar y cyd) i ddatblygu syniadau ar gyfer perfformio, recordio a chyfansoddi caneuon, neu drefniannau o ganeuon eraill, fel rhan o asesiad y modiwl.

Bydd myfyrwyr yn cael eu cyflwyno yn ystod y darlithoedd i sylfeini cyfansoddi caneuon, gan gynnwys alaw (siapio alawol), harmoni (patrymau harmonig), ffurfiau penodol, gosod geiriau (lliwio geiriol), rhythm, gwead, ac yn y blaen. Trafodir yr elfennau hyn mewn perthynas ag idiomau ac arddulliau sy’n perthyn i ganeuon artistiaid megis Elton John a Joni Mitchell yn ystod y 1970au at arddulliau pop a roc mwy diweddar. Er mwyn cwblhau’r modiwl yn llwyddiannus, fe fydd angen i’r myfyriwr gynhyrchu portffolio o ganeuon a threfniannau o ganeuon gan un ai eu perfformio yn unigol neu mewn grŵp, neu eu recordio i safon boddhaol, neu wedi eu cyfansoddi a’u prosesu ar feddalwedd megis Sibelius.
