Overall aims and purpose

Mae’r Project Meistr ar gyfer rhaglen MA neu MMus yn cynnwys project unigol ar rychwant a graddfa y byddai disgwyl rhesymol i'w gwblhau o fewn pedwar i bum mis o astudiaeth annibynnol, llawn-amser dan arolygaeth.

Dylai ddangos gwybodaeth ac astudiaeth uwch yn y maes, gan ymgorffori rhyw lefel o waith gwreiddiol o ran meddwl a dull ymchwil. Gall gymeryd un o nifer o ffurfiau sy’n addas ar gyfer y rhaglen a astudiwyd:

• Traethawd hir neu astudiaeth ryddieithol gyfatebol (MA mewn Cerddoriaeth, MA mewn Cerddoriaeth ag Addysg); • Argraffiad gyda sylwebaeth (rhaglenni MA mewn Cerddoriaeth); • Portffolio o Gyfansoddiadau, neu un cyfansoddiad sylweddol (MMus mewn Cyfansoddi a Chelfyddyd Sonig); • Datganiad cyhoeddus (MMus mewn Perfformio) • Project sy’n cyfuno un neu fwy o’r elfennau hyn (MA mewn Cerddoriaeth ag Addysg) • Darlith-Ddatganiad (MA mewn Cerddoriaeth ag Addysg; MMus mewn Perfformio) • Portffolio o ddeunyddiau pedagogaidd (MA mewn Cerddoriaeth ag Addysg)

Fe fydd rhaid i natur y project gael ei gymeradwyo gan is-bwyllgor o’r Bwrdd Arholwyr. Rhoddir arweiniad i’r testun gan arolygydd perthnasol.

Course content

Hyd y gwaith: • Traethawd hir: 15,000–20,000 o eiriau. Gall y nifer geiriau fod yn llai os yw’r traethawd yn cynnwys deunydd dadansoddiadol graffig neu ar ffurf tabl (e.e. dadansoddiad Schenkeraidd); • Golygiad: portffolio o drawsgrifiadau mewn nodiant o gerddoriaeth wedi ei drafod a’i gytuno gyda’r arolygydd, ynghyd â sylwebaeth lawn a thraethawd o oddeutu 5,000–10,000 o eiriau; • Cyfansoddiad (mewn nodiant): un gwaith sylweddol neu bortffolio o ddarnau sydd yn sylweddol o ran cwmpas, oddeutu 20–25 munud o ran hyd, ynghyd â sylwebaeth o oddeutu 2,000 o eiriau; • Cyfansoddiad (acwsmataidd/celf sonig): portffolio o ddarnau sydd yn sylweddol o ran cwmpas, oddeutu 14–16 munud mewn perfformiad, ynghyd â sylwebaeth o oddeutu 2,000 o eiriau; • Datganiad: datganiad cyhoeddus o oddeutu 50–60 munud o ran hyd (heb gynnwys seibiannau a thoriadau rhwng y darnau), ynghyd â nodiadau rhaglen. Ar gyfer myfyrwyr sy’n dilyn MA mewn Cerddoriaeth ag Addysg sydd yn dewis perfformiad fel eu project terfynol, fe ddylai’r datganiad fod oddeutu 30–35 munud (heb gynnwys seibiannau a thoriadau rhwng y darnau), ynghyd â nodiadau rhaglen (fe fydd y perfformiad a’r nodiadau rhaglen yn pwyso 90% a 10% fel ei gilydd); • Darlith-Ddatganiad: perfformiad o oddeutu 50–60 munud o ran hyd (heb gynnwys seibiannau a thoriadau rhwng y darnau), ynghyd â sylwebaeth eiriol o tua 2,000 o eiriau (asesir y perfformiad a’r sylwebaeth fel un eitem o asesiad). Ar gyfer myfyrwyr sy’n dilyn MA mewn Cerddoriaeth ag Addysg sydd yn dewis y Darlith-Ddatganiad fel eu project terfynol, fe ddylai’r datganiad fod oddeutu 30–35 munud (heb gynnwys seibiannau a thoriadau rhwng y darnau), ynghyd â nodiadau rhaglen (fe fydd y perfformiad a’r nodiadau rhaglen yn pwyso 90% a 10% fel ei gilydd); • Portffolio o ddeunyddiau addysgiadol: 15,000–20,000 o eiriau, neu 20–25 munud o gerddoriaeth, neu gydbwysedd cyfartal o’r ddau, neu debyg. Fe fydd angen i’r arolygwr gytuno ar hyd a lled y project o flaen llaw; – Mewn rhai amgylchiadau (e.e. myfyrwyr sydd yn dilyn y cwrs MA Cerddoriaeth ag Addysg), fe fydd yn bosib cyfuno mwy nag un math o gyflwyniad o fewn un project, neu i gytuno ar fath gwahanol o gyflwyniad. Fodd bynnag, fe fydd angen i natur project o’r fath gael ei gymeradwyo rhag blaen gan is-bwyllgor o’r Bwrdd Arholwyr.

O ran gwaith sy'n seiliedig ar draethodau: Gwaith sy'n dangos gwybodaeth sylfaenol, gyfyngedig o'r pwnc, gyda gallu syml i feddwl yn gysyniadol, ac ymwybyddiaeth gyfyngedig o faterion perthnasol, ond rhywfaint o dystiolaeth o ymdriniaeth gyffredinol ddeallusol, gyda mynegiant gweddol.

MA mewn Cerddoriaeth a MMus: hyd at 10 cyfarfod arolygol un-i-un â'r arolygwr/ arolygwyr a ddynodir, bob hyn a hyn, trwy gytundeb. (Fel rheol, bydd y rhain yn gwneud cyfanswm o ryw 10 awr, a heb fod yn fwy na 15 awr).
