Info for 8 week course graduates

The monthly ‘Follow up group’ for 8 week course graduates is at 18:30–20:30 on Monday evenings, in the Wheldon Building, Bangor University Science Site, off Deiniol Road (opposite the large Deiniol Library which used to be a school). It's usually on the last Monday of the month, except on Bank Holidays when it's on an earlier Monday - to check, see the dates below.

The car park barrier into the Science Site should be raised, if not, you can press the silver button under the speaker on the barrier upright, and when Security answer, ask to be let in.

If the front door of the Wheldon Building is locked, one of the teachers will let people in. The group meets on the first floor, at the end of the right-hand corridor, in Teaching Spaces 5 and 6.

There is also an monthly follow up group in Rowen village memorial hall on the first Sunday of each month, starting on the 1st October 2017 from 6:30pm - 8:00pm with Rebecca Crane (

More Opportunities for 8 Week Course Graduates

There are several options which are displayed on our training routes page. One popular option is the Staying Mindful course, this is a 6 week follow-up course specifically developed for graduates of the 8 week course:

  • The course will provide an opportunity to deepen mindfulness practice and further develop aspects considered on the 8 week course.
  • We will look into what gets in the way of our practice and cultivate self compassion and non-judgement. 
  • Working with the difficult, acceptance of self and our world and how we can be mindful in daily life and relationship will also be explored.
