Short personal biography:

Bethan has been teaching Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) courses to groups in Cardiff and Bangor since 2008 and teaches 8-week mindfulness courses within workplaces and at the Welsh Assembly. She has also been teaching MBCT within the civil service on behalf of Sussex Mindfulness Centre for many years.  She has regular supervision for this work. She has practised mindfulness mediation since 2002 and has attended dozens of mediation retreats during this time. She has also practised yoga since her late teens. 

Her training in mindfulness teaching includes CMRP Teacher Training and Specialist Retreats and other mindfulness teacher development courses at CMRP; mindfulness teacher training courses at Gaia House with Christina Feldman and John Teasdale and MBSR teacher training with Pam Erdmann on Holy Isle, Scotland. She also attended a mindfulness teacher training ‘practicum’ in the US with Melissa Blacker and Florence Meleo-Meyer at the Centre for Mindfulness, University of Massachusetts in 2008. 

Bethan is a Mental Health First Aid Instructor (Welsh Government Approved since 2008). She is also a mental health tutor for Cardiff University’s PGCE courses and runs mental health training across the public, private and third sectors. 

Bethan has been an Employment Tribunal Member since 2010.
