Ferris Buck Urbanowski

Ferris Buck Urbanowski, M.A. is currently an adjunct faculty at the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care and Society at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Ferris has taught Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction at the CMRP and also in businesses, in a law firm and, with Professor Len Riskin who has taught Mindfulness Meditation and Mediation in a number of different sites.

Ferris has previously been accepted an invite from Mark Williams, in collaboration with Professor Zindal Segal and Professor John Teasdale, to go to Bardsey Island in Wales to offer a course for professionals teaching or interested in teaching Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy. Since that time she has continued to teach professionals in Wales and at the University of Toronto in Professor Zindel Segal's program. In 2003 Farris offered a retreat, on Bardsey Island, for MBSR and MBCT teachers from Wales and from the United States.

Ferris offers her gratitude and deepest admiration to the teachers and administrators in Wales who continue to study, to develop programs, and who offer outstanding teaching programs to professionals and students.
