Celebrating 75 Years of the NHS: A Legacy of Excellence at Bangor University.

This week, the NHS celebrates its 75th anniversary on July 5th with great joy and pride

To mark the occasion, the School of Medical and Health Sciences, in collaboration with the Development and Alumni Relations Office, have launched the NHS75 Bangor Alumni webpage as a special initiative to honour the contributions of our alumni to the healthcare profession.

Over the years, Bangor University has successfully trained thousands of graduates for careers in the NHS. From nurses and physiotherapists to radiographers, midwives, physicians’ associates, biomedical scientists, and psychologists, Bangor University alumni have played a pivotal role in delivering the best possible care to patients.

Dr Elizabeth Mason, Interim Head of the School of Medical and Health Sciences, expressed her appreciation, saying,

"The 75th anniversary of the NHS is a remarkable milestone, showcasing the achievements made across all aspects of healthcare. It has been a privilege to witness our graduates making a meaningful impact on advancing patient/client care.

Our sincere gratitude and admiration are extended to the NHS and our esteemed alumni and we will continue to celebrate this remarkable milestone in the upcoming graduation ceremonies.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to all our colleagues at Bangor University, who play a crucial role in supporting, teaching and preparing our students for their future careers. Their expertise and dedication contribute significantly to the success of our graduates and the quality and professionalism of health care professionals produced by Bangor University.’’

Head of Development and Alumni Relations Office, Emma Marshall added,
