Free Gym Membership for Residents
If you're a Bangor University student living in University accommodation, you'll get free gym membership when you start here. To activate your membership, complete the Online Gym Induction Programme. 24 hours after completion, your Student ID Card will grant you access to Canolfan Brailsford. Residents living at St Mary’s will also have access to the on-site gym. You will need your red Student ID Card to enter both Canolfan Brailsford and St Mary’s gym room.
Upgrade Your Free Membership
You also have the option to upgrade your free membership to include access to our fantastic range of classes. For just £65, you can join all classes offered at Canolfan Brailsford. To take advantage of this benefit, give us a call on 01248 382 571.
Log In to Book Classes and Activities
To book classes and activities, you'll need to log in to our booking site. You'll need your Bangor University alphanumeric details e,g. Bra24ed to log in.

Purchase Your Membership
You can purchase your membership:
- in person at Canolfan Brailsford or
- by phone at 01248 382 571 or
- online - you’ll need to log in
Don’t forget to visit the library to collect your red Student ID Card, which will give you access through the turnstile at Canolfan Brailsford.
*There’s no need to create a gym profile or obtain an Actif card.
Buy Your Membership Online
It’s important to follow the steps to make sure you’re set up and ready to use the gym as soon as possible.
Go to our payment website, where you’ll need to log in using your Bangor University details e.g.: Bra24ed. Once logged in, select one of the membership options. After making your payment, you’ll need to complete our mandatory Online Gym Induction Programme.
*There’s no need to create a gym profile or obtain an Actif card.
