Start Up Bursaries of £1,000 are available to those students (aged under 25 before starting their 1st degree at Bangor University) entering the University from care, permanently estranged from their families.
The start-up bursaries are intended to cover course related costs such as books, equipment, travel and study aids. These are one-off, non-repayable bursaries which will be paid in the first year only.
- There is NO application process, we will decide if you are eligible based on evidence of your Care Experience / estrangement status which you will have sent to your student finance organisation.
- To be eligible for my Start Bursary, you must complete a student finance application form - this is the form you complete to apply for your tuition and maintenance loans, maintenance grants etc.
