Overview

Gan ystyried ymgyrchoedd diweddar Hawl i Fyw Adra, Gwrthryfel Difodiant, #MeToo a Bywydau Duon o Bwys, bydd y modiwl hwn yn archwilio enghreifftiau o lenyddiaeth Gymraeg, a ffenomenâu diwylliannol eraill megis canu poblogaidd, o’r 1960au hyd heddiw, sy’n trafod materion llosg cyfredol cenedligrwydd, hil, rhyw, rhywedd, a’r amgylchedd. Canolbwyntir yn bennaf ar destunau sy’n wrthryfelgar mewn rhyw ffordd, ac sy’n herio’r drefn a oedd, neu sydd, ohoni. Astudir testunau canonaidd yn ogystal â rhai mwy ymylol, a bydd cyfle i ddarpar-fyfyrwyr archwilio cyd-destunau gwleidyddol, cymdeithasol ac economaidd llenyddiaeth Gymraeg ddiweddar.

Byddwn yn dechrau wrth ein traed drwy astudio canu protest a llenyddiaeth wleidyddol y 1960au, a oedd ynghlwm wrth ymgyrchoedd cynnar Cymdeithas yr Iaith Gymraeg, ond byddir hefyd yn rhoi sylw i ymatebion llenyddol Cymraeg i ymgyrchoedd a brwydrau dros hawliau sifil yng ngweddill Ynysoedd Prydain, Ewrop ac UDA. Parheir i astudio llenyddiaeth sy’n portreadu ac yn ymateb i frwydr yr iaith ac ymgyrchoedd gwleidyddol eraill yng Nghymru dros y degawdau, ond rhoddir sylw helaeth hefyd i’r ymateb Cymraeg i ymgyrchoedd a safbwyntiau gwleidyddol mwy rhyngwladol a chydwladol yn ymwneud â hil, rhyw, rhywedd, rhywioldeb a’r amgylchedd, gan astudio llenyddiaethau o safbwyntiau ffeministaidd, ecofeirniadol, astudiaethau rhywedd, etc.
