Bydd y modiwl hwn yn:

  • gwerthuso’n feirniadol y traddodiad cerddorol yng Nghymru’r Ugeinfed Ganrif o safbwynt hanesyddol a chymdeithasol;
  • dangos ymwybyddiaeth o gerddoriaeth glasurol, cerddoriaeth boblogaidd, a cherddoriaeth draddodiadol o Gymru yn yr 20fed ganrif;
  • trafod y gydberthynas gymhleth/ cydberthnasau cymhleth a geir rhwng traddodiadau gwerin, poblogaidd a chelfyddydol yng Nghymru’r 20fed ganrif;
  • profi ymwybyddiaeth o offer methodolegol ar gyfer dealltwriaeth feirniadol a gwahaniaethol o hanesyddiaeth cerddoriaeth.

  2. Ar ôl cwblhau’r modiwl yn llwyddiannus bydd y myfyriwr yn gallu cloriannu maes cerddoriaeth Cymru yn ystod yr 20fed ganrif a sylwi’n benodol ar amlochredd cerddorol y rhai a fu’n weithgar yn y traddodiad.
