As a Bangor Fund Student Caller, you’ll connect with Bangor University alumni—graduates who once walked the same paths as you. Through genuine, friendly conversations, you’ll:
- Reintroduce/update them to life at Bangor University today
- Share your experiences and campus stories
- Listen as they reflect on their own time at university and life after Bangor
- Encourage to support life-changing projects through the Bangor Fund
- From scholarships and internships to global travel bursaries, and initiatives that celebrate Welsh language and culture — you’ll help alumni see the difference their gift can make.

ARE YOU WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR?
- You're a second or third year student, who can confidently share your experience of university life
- You’re reliable, professional, and always on time
- You’ve got a clear, friendly phone manner and enjoy a good conversation
- You’re a natural communicator—warm, articulate, engaging, and a great listener
- You enjoy connecting with people and sharing what makes Bangor special
- You’re adaptable and take new challenges in your stride
- You speak with heart and have a genuine interest in student life
- You’re involved in clubs, societies, or student life at Bangor—or simply have a passion for the community (involvement is a plus, but not a must!)
- Welsh language skills or other languages are a bonus—but your enthusiasm is what really matters
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO COMMIT
If you’re shortlisted, you’ll be invited to take part in a short mock telephone call. Those who demonstrate strong potential will then be invited for an interview as part of the final selection process.
Before calling begins, there’ll be a compulsory training session on Wednesday, 29 October, 12:30 – 16:30, to ensure you’re fully prepared and confident to start.
Calling starts on Thursday 30 October 2025, and the campaign will run for 4 weeks, finishing on Thursday 27 November 2025.
You’ll need to be available for the following calling shifts:
🕕 Mondays to Thursdays — 6pm to 9pm
🕓 Sundays — 4pm to 7pm
