The travel grant enabled me to take part in an international conference and present my research to leading experts in Celtic Studies. Because of this fund, I was able to have in-depth discussions with fellow students and academics from around the world. This has had a huge impact on my work and would not have been possible without this award. I'm forever grateful for this opportunity!
This scholarship has been invaluable in shaping my future in marine science, thank you to Dr Perrin. Working alongside leading researchers gave me the chance to ask questions, learn from experts, and refine my career goals. The experience taught me that science requires adaptability—methods change, results can surprise, and open-mindedness is key.
Gift Aid – for eligible UK taxpayers
When you make a Gift Aid donation, we can reclaim from HM Revenue & Customs the basic rate tax which you have already paid on your gift. This increases the value of your gift to us by 25%, at no extra cost to you.
If you are a higher rate taxpayer, you can also claim the difference between higher rate and basic rate tax on the total value of your gift to the University on your Self Assessment tax return.
