The International Education Centre (IEC) runs general Free English Classes for anyone who wishes to improve their English. These classes are particularly suitable for partners of overseas students, as well as for students, lecturers, researchers or anyone connected to the university. Complete beginners are welcome.
Classes will take place between Monday and Friday, during working hours and are free of charge and all necessary learning materials are provided. Classes are small and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. It is an excellent opportunity to get to know other people who are also learning to speak English.
There are 3 Levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Upper Intermediate and the classes cover all four major skills:
Term 2: 11th January 2021 - 25th March 2021 (11 weeks)
During Term 2, classes will be delivered online: 2 classes per week, per level. Classes will be 1.5 hours per session. We aim to be as flexible as possible*, students can join an appropriate level group
To Register: Email the International Education Centre Reception: email@example.com
Week 1: 11/01/2021 - 15/01/21
Your tutor will contact you to discuss the most suitable day, time and level for you.
*Days and times will depend on all students’ availability and levels, as much as possible.
Following weeks: At the end of Week 1, your tutor will contact you to find the most suitable class for you to join. You will then receive an email advising you of the dates and times of your classes taking place between the 11th January and 25th March 2021.
As the classes are online, you will receive an email invitation containing a link that will take you straight to the online classes on the set dates and times. You will be able to join an existing group that is best for you. You can join at any time during the term, if spaces are available.
