Bangor University Welcomes International Students
The International Student Support Office is here to help you get the best out of Bangor. We can provide advice and guidance on a range of welfare related matters to all international students and their families. Support is available to you from acceptance to graduation and beyond. View the links to your right for information that will be of use and of interest to you during your stay in Bangor.

The International Student Support Office is situated in the Rathbone Building, College Road, Bangor.
International Student Support - Semester One provision 2020Following a successful trial of online service provision when lock-down was introduced in March, the University's International Student Support Office (ISSO) will mainly be providing its services online during Semester 1 (September - December).
However, student appointments would be made for urgent cases, or for those where face-to-face support would be preferable (e.g. assistance with visa applications).
Students can contact the Service by email: firstname.lastname@example.org, or telephone: 01248 388633. Staff will be available from 9am to 4pm.
An information ‘hub’ will be available at the Main Arts Reception, where international students will be able to collect information flyers, staff contact details and other literature.
The Service will provide the following:
Airport Pick-Up’s (for later arrivals) 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th October
Airport Pick-Up's 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th November & 8th, 15th December
Weekly, online ‘Drop-In’ sessions - Wednesdays at 1pm (starting 30/09/20) via Teams
One-off, topical Information sessions - Fridays 10am
- Mental Health, Support & Counselling - 23rd October
- Working in the UK - 20th November
- Immigration & EU/Brexit - 4th December
- Housing & Accommodation issues - 11th December
Student Bulletin - Every two weeks, commencing end of October
One-to-one, online appointments - As and when requested
One -to-one, in-person, appointments- On request & for difficult/urgent cases
Social events - One, themed, quiz per month - 8th October; 6th November; 10th December
