If you have already received an offer to study with us, here is a message from our teaching team.

Christian Dunn standing on the terrace in front of the Main University Building

Hello I’m professor Christian Dunn from the school of environmental and natural sciences at Bangor university and I wanted to congratulate you on your offer Well done.  I also wanted to give you three things that make Bangor so special.  The first is the additional teaching facilities that we have, so we have all the nice shimmy labs and the lecture theatres that you would expect from a university of our standing; but we also have a research farm, a research centre, we have our own botanic garden and we have our own natural history museum; which you will use when you are here studying with us at Bangor.  The second thing is all your lecturers to a certain degree are research active.  Which means that they are doing the research which they are then teaching you and so when you come on to do your third-year project, you’ll be doing it with an active research group.  The third thing is our location.  We are in the best natural laboratory you cold hope for.  Right there we have the sea, and just over there we have the mountains, and we have every habitat you can imagine in between.  It is a great place to live and to study if you are interested in the natural world.  So I’m looking forward to seeing you in September.
