Space Management
Project or Space Request
A simple form is available to capture all requests for projects and space requirements/changes within the University. By utilising this form, PaCS will be able to track all project and space requests.
All requests must be submitted by (or approved by) the Head of College, Head of Department or School or other equivalent senior position.
Project Works
- All project works over £5,000.00 (if you are unsure of the likely value please give us a call or submit a form so that we can help/advise you).
- Any projects with significant health and safety or fire safety implications which will need considerable resource.
Space Requests
Any changes to University accommodation or space, including changes of use, require prior approval of the Property & Campus Services Task Group.
Requests will initially be considered by the Space Management Sub-Group which has representation from PaCS, Planning & Resources and a Pro Vice-Chancellor, prior to a recommendation being made to the Task Group.
Approval must be sought regardless of the size of project size, space or source of funding. Typical projects may include;
- Requests for additional accommodation
- Modification or refurbishment of existing allocated space
- Changes of room function or assignment to a different department
- Vacation of previously occupied space
