Overall aims and purpose

Bydd y modiwl hwn yn ehangu ar ddeunydd yr ymdriniwyd ag ef ym Mlwyddyn 1 a PCC2001. Yn benodol, bydd yn ymwneud â ffyrdd o gynllunio a dadansoddi ymchwil seicoleg gan gyfeirio’n arbennig at gynllunio arbrofion, dadansoddi data paramedrig, a defnyddio technegau Dadansoddi Amrywiant (ANOVA), a phrofion dilynol cysylltiedig. Nod y modiwl hwn yw helpu myfyrwyr i ddallt dulliau dadansoddi data mwy cymhleth a ddefnyddir yn seicoleg, a sut y gellid eu defnyddio i ddadansoddi eu hymchwil eu hunain. Mae cynnwys y cwrs wedi ei gynllunio er mwyn paratoi myfyrwyr ar gyfer eu prosiect ymchwil yn y flwyddyn olaf.

Course content

Mae'r modiwl hwn yn adeiladu ar y dadansoddiadau meintiol a'r dulliau ymchwil yr ydych wedi dysgu ynghynt yn eich gradd. Bydd y modiwl yn dechrau gyda chrynodeb byr o’r ystadegau meintiol yr ydych wedi'u trafod o'r blaen, cyn cyflwyno gwybodaeth am ddadansoddiadau mwy cymhleth, megis ANOVA unffordd, ANOVA ffactoraidd, ANCOVA, MANOVA, a phrofion amharamedrig. Bydd darlithoedd hefyd yn cwmpasu dylunio arbrofol a moeseg ymchwil seicoleg. Mae'r modiwl hwn yn cynnwys darlith 2 awr yr wythnos yn ogystal â sesiwn labordy 1 awr. Yn ogystal, mae'r modiwl hwn yn cynnwys sesiynau POPPS wythnosol. Gofynnir i chi fynychu y darlithoedd yn ogystal â labordy a grwpiau POPPS, a noder y bydd presenoldeb yn cael ei recordio. Mae'r modiwl yn fodiwl craidd, sy'n golygu bod rhaid i chi basio gyda marc o > 40% i barhau i flwyddyn 3.

  5. Dangos dealltwriaeth o'r ystadegau a ddefnyddir mewn ymchwil seicolegol, gyda phwyslais arbennig ar dechnegau ANOVA a'u dadansoddiad ystadegol.

  6. Cymryd rhan mewn ymchwil seicolegol barhaus trwy’r rhaglen SONA, yn ogystal ag aseiniadau gwaith cartref yn gysylltiedig ag arbrofion.

Bydd seminar 1 awr o hyd yn cael ei gynnal yn wythnosol. Yn y seminarau, cewch gyfle i ddatblygu eich sgiliau ystadegol, a chadarnhau eich dealltwriaeth o'r pynciau gwahanol.

Mewn modiwl 20 credyd, disgwylir i chi weithio am 200 awr. Disgwylir i chi wario 156 awr yn astudio'r pynciau er mwyn cwblhau'r aseiniadau gwahanol a sicrhau eich dealltwriaeth.

  • Use a variety of psychological tools, including specialist software, laboratory equipment and psychometric instruments.
