Who are London Bangorians?
London Bangorians began in 1901 as the London branch of the Old Students Association (OSA) for alumni of Bangor University, formerly University College of North Wales, and associated higher education colleges.
What do London Bangorians do?
We offer a social network for alumni in London and the South East to maintain links with fellow Bangor Uni graduates. We meet several times a year to visit London landmarks, celebrate Welsh heritage and culture in London, maintain links with Bangor University and network with other Welsh university alumni groups.
Memorable visits have included Kew Gardens, Greenwich Old Royal Naval College, the Globe Theatre, Epping Ongar Heritage Railway and a guided walking tour of the City of London. Once a year we arrange talks by a member or outside speaker, and we’re planning some informal pub meet-ups throughout the year.
What events are coming up in 2025?
- Thursday, August 14th – Informal pub meet-up from 7pm at Mabel's Tavern (nr Euston and King's Cross)
- Saturday, September 6th – Day trip by train to Lewes, East Sussex
- Saturday, October 18th – Visit to Handel Hendrix House (Mayfair)
