Bangor University Students

Our department is proud to support the student run Bangor Linguistics Society (BLS). This society has an office and accompanying study space and computer facilities located within in the School of Linguistics and English Language. The BLS facilities are also home to a library with over 1000 books which are available for students to borrow. Whilst a student organization, and part of the Bangor Student Union, this society organises events throughout the year that staff and students are encouraged to attend and is open to all students, staff and alumni of Bangor University who are interested in the study of Linguistics or the English Language.

We are passionate about the fascinating subject of linguistics, and teaching and ensuring our students gain excellent skills in critical reading and research, including access to dedicated language facilities available to all students who study with us.
