International Year Zero*

O'Levels with a credit in a minimum of 5 subjects.

*International Year Zero is the first year of our 4 year International Incorporated Bachelor degree and is taught on campus at Bangor University International College and delivered by our partner Oxford International Education Group.
 

International Year 1 - Business, Management and Finance

Sri Lankan General Certificate of Education (Advanced level) with Credit Passes CCC-CCC
OR students with good grades in their Sri Lankan General Certificate of Education (Ordinary level) AND a one-year Foundation Programme is required to be considered for entry onto the International Year 1*.

*The International Year 1 is the first year of our 3 year Bachelor Degrees in Business, Management & Finance provides an intensive combination of first year university subject modules with extra study and English language skills, and is taught on campus at Bangor University International College and delivered by our partner Oxford International Education Group.\
 

Undergraduate/Bachelor Degree

• Sri Lankan General Certificate of Education (Advanced level) ABB-BCC depending on the course.
• OR Students who hold a Diploma in Social Work / Higher National Diploma (HND) /Advanced Diploma in Social Work.
• OR Bachelor degree (2-year).
• OR Students with good grades in their Sri Lankan General Certificate of Education (Ordinary level) AND one a year Foundation course.
   

Postgraduate/Master Degree

Minimum of a second class lower in:

• Bachelor General degree
• OR Bachelor Special degree 
• OR Professional degree
• OR Postgraduate Diploma

From a recognised institution in Sri Lanka

Mature students will be considered on a case by case basis.

If you do not meet the requirements for entry onto a Masters Degree in Bangor Business School then we can consider you for entry onto *International Incorporated Masters

*The pre-masters part of our International Incorporated Masters is taught on campus at Bangor University International College and delivered by our partner Oxford International Education Group.
 

Postgraduate/Research PhD

Good grades in Bachelor degree and a Masters degree. Previous research experience is essential.

English Language Requirements

IELTS 6.0 (5.5) or equivalent. Some courses have higher English Language Requirements.

* Note: In such cases, candidate details will be shared with Bangor University International College which delivers the 1st year of the 4-year degree course, and Pre-Masters component of the Masters degree course in partnership with Bangor University. Candidate details will not be shared with any other third party organisations.

• International Year Zero: High school certificate or equivalent from your home country + IELTS 5.5 (5.5)
• International Year 1: School leaving qualification equivalent to the British school leaving qualification (A-levels / IB) + IELTS 5.5 (5.5)
• Undergraduate Courses: School leaving qualification equivalent to the British school leaving qualification (A-levels / IB) or the University may also recognise relevant professional experience of 2 years or longer for entry onto our degree programmes + IELTS 6.0 (5.5)
• Postgraduate Courses: Undergraduate / bachelor degree of equivalent standard to the British undergraduate/bachelor degree or the University may also recognise relevant professional experience of 2 years or longer for entry onto our degree programmes + IELTS 6.0 (5.5)
• PhD/Research Course: Postgraduate / Master’s Degree of equivalent standard to the British Postgraduate / Master’s Degree + IELTS 6.0 (5.5)

Applicants from some countries do NOT need to provide additional evidence of English Language ability, if previous education was with English medium of instruction. Otherwise, an IELTS overall 6.0 with 5.5 in each component or equivalent is normally required (some courses may require a higher score.
