Borrowing

Borrowing from the Welsh Library is in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Main Library. Material on the open shelves may be borrowed in the same way and on the same terms as other Library material. Visit the Library’s Borrowing page for more information.

Rare Books

Rare books cannot be borrowed, but can be consulted in the Archives Reading Room. Readers wishing to consult Rare Books must fill in an application form at the Main Library Issue Desk. Items will be collected and taken to the Archives Reading Room for consultation twice a day. Items requested in the morning, before 12.00 pm will be available after 2.00 pm and items requested in the afternoon, after 12.00 pm,  will be available the following morning, after 9.30 am
