Overall aims and purpose
Trwy adeiladu ar wybodaeth myfyrwyr o syniadau hanesyddol, cymdeithasol a diwylliannol am blentyndod, mae'r modiwl yma yn ystyried ymddangosiad 'ieuenctid' fel categori ac yn ymchwilio i amrywiaeth o hunaniaethau isddiwylliannol ieuenctid gan osod y rhain mewn cyd-destunau cymdeithasol, diwylliannol a gwleidyddol. Trwy lens rhywedd, hil a dosbarth cymdeithasol, mae'r modiwl yn ymchwilio i sut y mae hunaniaethau plant a phobl ifanc yn cael eu siapio, portreadu a negodi o fewn cymdeithas gyfoes. Elfen allweddol o hyn bydd ystyried rôl y cyfryngau poblogaidd mewn siapio hunaniaethau ieuenctid/isddiwylliannol ac agweddau'r cyhoedd tuag atynt.
Course content
Mae sesiynau wythnosol yn seiliedig ar ddarlleniadau allweddol ac ar drafodaethau grwp ynghyd a darlithoedd a gweithdai. Enghreifftiau o'r testunau allweddol yw: Safbwyntiau damcaniaethol allweddol sydd yn perthyn i gysyniadau o ieuenctid, isddiwylliannau ieuenctid a ffordd o fyw pobl ifanc, Rôl y cyfryngau. Y 'broblem' o ieuenctid - syniadau hanesyddol am dramgwyddaeth a gwyredd, Panig moesol, Canfyddiadau'r cyhoedd o ieuenctid/pobl ifanc, Hunaniaethau rhywedd, Gwrywdod hegemonig, Trafodaethau dominyddol o fenyweidd-dra a harddwch, Stereoteipio a rhagfarn, Diwylliannau ieuenctid a'r croestoriad efo hil, rhywedd a dosbarth cymdeithasol.
