This is a valuable opportunity to hear a panel of experts and familiar faces discuss the award-winning film, Hedd Wyn, scripted by Alan Llwyd and directed by Paul Turner.During the session, there will be a discussion on various aspects of the film including the historical and industrial context, themes, the characters and the use of symbolism in the film. The importance of the film in Wales and internationally will also be discussed. There will be an opportunity at the end of the talk for members of the audience to question the panel.
The event is free and anyone is welcome to attend (tickets must be booked in advance via the Pontio website). Secondary school pupils who are studying the film are particularly welcome. (If you order tickets and cannot come, could you contact the Pontio ticket office to inform them, please?)
This event is held in collaboration between Bangor University's Department of Welsh and Pontio and is sponsored by the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol.
