Bangor University prides itself on being a welcoming environment for a diverse community of people, whether that be colleagues, students, or visitors.

The University is clear that there is no room for racism of any kind, and any allegations of this nature will be taken seriously.

Find out more about the steps you can take to bring incidents of racism that have taken place in the university community to our attention, whether you have experienced it personally, witnessed it or been informed about it. 

If you are the victim of a crime, you feel unsafe or at immediate risk, you should contact the police by telephone on 999.

Via our Report and Support form. Our Report and Support staff web-page explains how staff can report instances of harassment either anonymously, or directly to HR to ensure support is provided.

You can report incidents anonymously or by providing contact details. 

If you are reporting on behalf of someone else, you will not have the opportunity to leave contact details for the person affected by the incident.

We will not be able to take further action with your specific case, but this information will help us to identify any trends for preventing bullying, harassment, and discrimination.

Our champions represent a diverse range of staff from departments, schools and colleges and have taken part in specific training on supporting racism disclosures.

HR Officers: Catherine Jones, Jade Whitehead, Matt Coles and Nia Blackwell who have also taken part in specific training on supporting racism disclosures. If you are reporting an incident via our Report and Support form, you have the opportunity to remain anonymous but you can also include your name and contact details.

Occupational Health: If you have concerns about your health and your ability to undertake your work or are returning to work following a period of ill health, you can seek advice and consultation.
