Applications are invited for the post of Qualitative Researcher working in the North Wales Centre for Primary Care Research (NWCPCR), on the Wrexham Campus of Bangor University.
The post holder will conduct all parts of the qualitative research for the NIHR-funded CARiAD study which explores bereaved carers’ experiences of and attitudes to extension of their role to include giving as-needed injected medications for breakthrough symptoms to their dying relative in the last days of life. They will also explore the views of healthcare professionals to lay carer administration of these medications.
The post holder will have a postgraduate degree (or equivalent experience). They will have excellent communication and qualitative research skills, and extensive experience of conducting qualitative research projects. They will be able to deal sensitively with bereaved carers, and work effectively with healthcare teams and public contributors.
The successful candidate will be expected to commence on 01/09/2017, or as soon as possible thereafter and the post is available until 28/02/2019. Salary will be on the appropriate Grade dependent on experience.
