Overall aims and purpose

Mae'r modiwl hwn yn rhoi cyfle i fyfyrwyr gynnal ymchwil unigol ar raddfa fechan, ond eto arwyddocaol, wedi¿u goruchwylio gan oruchwyliwr ymchwil. Mae myfyrwyr yn nodi cwestiwn ymchwil, yn casglu a dadansoddi data sy'n ymwneud â chwestiwn yr ymchwil, gan ddefnyddio fframwaith dadansoddol priodol. Maent yn ymdrin â chwestiwn yr ymchwil wedyn yng ngoleuni eu canfyddiadau. Cyflwynir yr ymchwil a wneir ar ffurf traethawd hir heb fod yn fwy na 20,000 o eiriau, gan ddefnyddio'r confensiynau arferol a geir yn y llenyddiaeth dwyieithrwydd.

Course content

Tiwtorialau goruchwylio un-i-un, fel y pennir gan ddatblygiad y myfyriwr unigol, i gynnwys cyfarwyddyd ar nodi a chynllunio testun ymchwil priodol, ymchwilio a defnyddio cysyniadau damcaniaethol perthnasol, cynllunio a gwneud gwaith maes a chasglu data (lle bo'n berthnasol) a chyflwyno'r canlyniadau'n gydlynol ac yn y ffurf briodol.

  2. Datblygu a dangos lefel uchel o awtonomiaeth a chyfrifoldeb wrth gynllunio a chyflawni'r ymchwil.
  3. Datblygu eu gallu i nodi cwestiwn ymchwil, i gynnal ymchwiliad o¿r broblem a chyflwyno canfyddiadau mewn modd clir a meddylgar.
  4. Nodi a defnyddio dulliau priodol ac ymwybyddiaeth feirniadol o¿r dulliau a ddefnyddiwyd, gan gynnwys y rhai a ddefnyddiwyd ar gyfer dehongli data.
  5. Nodi cyfyngiadau'r astudiaeth.
  6. Defnyddio ymwybyddiaeth foesegol a methodolegol briodol wrth gynllunio a chyflawni¿r astudiaeth.
  7. Datblygu gwybodaeth fanwl iawn yn y maes/testun priodol sydd i'w archwilio, wedi'i arddangos drwy ddefnyddio llenyddiaeth esboniadol yn hyderus a beirniadol, a chael amddiffyniad damcaniaethol rhesymegol o'r ymchwil.
  8. Datblygu annibyniaeth gynyddol o farn, a dangos y gallu i ddadansoddi'n feirniadol, barnu, a dod i gasgliadau.
  9. Cyflwyno'r ymchwil a wnaed ar ffurf pwnc traethawd hir ysgrifenedig i safonau llym, gan gydymffurfio â'r confensiynau.

  Amser cyswllt: Bydd hyn ar ffurf tiwtorialau goruchwylio un-i-un fel y pennir gan gynnydd y myfyriwr unigol. Pennir goruchwyliwr ymchwil i fyfyrwyr. Bydd y goruchwyliwr yn rhoi cefnogaeth diwtorial ar sail unigol i helpu myfyrwyr i ddod yn hunan-feirniadol yn briodol a chefnogi eu hymreolaeth gynyddol fel ymchwilwyr. Caiff tiwtoriaid eu pennu ar sail arbenigedd perthnasol o blith yr aelodau staff yn yr Ysgol a Chanolfannau sy¿n cyfrannu at y rhaglen.
