Overall aims and purpose
Mae'r modiwl hwn yn trafod y materion a wynebir gan bobl ifanc wrth iddynt fynd trwy lencyndod. Bydd y modiwl yn adeiladu ar drafodaethau blaenorol ar ddatblygiad plant i ystyried barn pobl ifanc am ddatblygu wrth iddynt nesáu at fod yn oedolion. Bydd y gwahanol ffactorau a all ddylanwadu ar ddatblygiad llencyndod yn cael eu hystyried, yn cynnwys swyddogaeth cymdeithas, diwylliant, y cyfryngau a'r gyfraith. Caiff materion penodol a chyfoes sy'n berthnasol i lencyndod a phobl ifanc eu harchwilio er enghraifft effaith y we a chyfryngau cymdeithasol, addysg rhyw a rhywioli, y glasoed a phwysau gan gyfoedion. Bydd y modiwl hwn yn cwblhau'r trafodaethau ar blant yn datblygu i fod yn oedolion ac yn gosod y sylfeini ar gyfer modiwlau ym mlwyddyn 3 sy'n trafod materion penodol a wynebir gan bobl ifanc.

Bydd y modiwl hwn yn ystyried y canlynol: - Sut mae plant yn datblygu i fod yn bobl ifanc yn eu harddegau ac oedolion? - Iechyd ac ymddygiad. - Y berthynas rhwng pobl ifanc ac oedolion. - Ieuenctid a thechnoleg. - Datblygiad hunaniaeth gender. - Safbwyntiau byd-eang o ieuenctid. - Addysg a chyflogaeth. - Rhyw, Cyffuriau a Roc a Rôl...

Dangos gallu da i drafod yr ystyriaethau allweddol mewn iechyd a lles pobl ifanc yn eu harddegau yn seiliedig ar dystiolaeth ymchwil ddibynadwy. Dangos ymwybyddiaeth gadarn o’r berthynas rhwng cymdeithas a phobl ifanc mewn perthynas â'r cyfryngau, oedolion unigol a sefydliadau. Dangos gallu ystyriol i werthuso'r berthynas rhwng damcaniaethau perthnasol a materion cyfoes ym mhrofiad pobl ifanc.

- reflect upon a range of psychological sociological health historical and philosophical perspectives and consider how these underpin different understandings of babies and young children and childhood
- apply multiple perspectives to early childhood issues recognising that early childhood studies involves a range of research methods theories evidence and applications
- integrate ideas and findings across the multiple perspectives in early childhood studies and recognise distinctive early childhood studies approaches to relevant issues
- evaluate competing positions in relation to the construction of babies and young children and childhood by different subjects societal agents and time place and culture
- constructively critique theories practice and research in the area of child development
- critically explore examine and evaluate the significance of the cultural historical and contemporary features of various policies institutions and agencies in regard to babies young children and childhood
- produce critical arguments for improvements to multi-agency and multiprofessional practices for babies and young children
