When did you start in the NHS?

2013.

Why did you choose to work in the NHS?

It is a place where everyone, from all walks of life can access care. Working in the Health Service felt like the most appropriate way to help people.

Describe what you do.

I work with adults experiencing various mental health difficulties. I support them to understand those difficulties and build ways to change the impact of those on them.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

To work as a team with someone and see their confidence grow, is an incredible privilege.

What would you say to someone thinking about a career in the NHS?

I'd say, it's a marathon. There are amazing and caring people, who work here despite the government continually attacking the Health Service, to privatize it, and underfund it. There are rewarding careers here.

How would you describe the NHS in one word?

For the people.
