Our Diverse Campus

We are committed to promoting social integration amongst our students to create an inclusive University community. Underpinning this is an understanding and deep respect for the diverse range of cultures on campus.

Over 2000 of our 11,000+ students studying here at Bangor are non-UK students coming from over 85 different countries. All students therefore have the opportunity to make friends from many different cultures and backgrounds, enabling them to expand their cultural knowledge.

We are committed to promoting a safe and supportive environment and we value the experiences of all students in our community. This is covered in our Student Harassment Policy. Visit our web page on Harassment for more information

International Students

There are various ways that international students can get involved in university life and there are a great many International Societies to join and events to get involved with. There is also specialist support available both academically and socially through the university’s International Education Centre to ensure you feel welcomed into our friendly community.

We understand that for our International Students, coming to university doesn't just mean leaving home, but moving to a foreign country and learning about a different culture and lifestyle too. That's why Bangor University has a team of International Student Ambassadors to help you settle in, show you around Bangor and make you feel at ease. They have already been through the process of adapting to a new life in a new country so they know exactly what you might be going through and are there for you throughout your time at University. You can find out more by visiting the International Education Centre website.

Read our International Student's Handbook which gives you information about arriving at Bangor, student life and how we keep in touch with you once you graduate.

Our International Office has an active Facebook Page that tells you the latest news from our International Students and informs you about current events.
