Mature Students and Families
Here at Bangor we appreciate that Mature Students, or students with children, families or care responsibilities may have different needs to students who arrive here straight from school after completing A-levels.
We understand that you may have other commitments and responsibilities; that your academic and social approach to university life may vary; that you may have had more life experience and that your path to higher education may have been different to other students. For these reasons, we acknowledge that your needs as a student may be quite unique and we therefore provide a range of support services to ensure that you feel included in all aspects of university life.
You can download our Mature Students Guide here and we have a dedicated Mature Students Advisor to help with any concerns you may have.

Undeb Bangor Council – Mature Students and Student Parents Councillors
The Undeb Bangor Council is the body within the Undeb Bangor which exists to debate ideas in relation to its policies, campaigns and political activity, ideas relative to its opportunities or for the development of the student experience at Bangor. It is also a forum where Bangor students can hold their elected union officers and councillors to account.
The Council is made up of student members occupying a number of specialist roles including a Mature Students Councillor. If you are interested in becoming an Undeb Bangor Councillor, you can find more information on their website.
