  • OxEd whole class programme: A Reception–Y1 oral language programme improving vocabulary, listening comprehension, and narrative skills. A Welsh version adapted for the unique properties of the Welsh language is currently being developed.
  • RILL (Research Informed Literacy with Language) pull-out intervention: For Years 3–4, RILL provides a structured approach to literacy including oral language, reading, and phonics-based reading intervention using Systematic Synthetic Phonics (SSP) principles.
  • RILL whole class programme: For years 3-4, RILL while class is designed to improve decoding, fluency and reading comprehension and confidence for all readers in a classroom setting.
  • Read to Learn: A secondary-level programme (Year 7) supporting struggling readers through targeted decoding, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension work.

Our language and literacy programmes are available from September 2026. We are simultaneously conducting trials on each of them to measure effectiveness. The data collected will contribute to our evidence base and guide improvements to the programmes before they are made available nationwide in 2027.
