Prestigious grant awarded to recent PhD graduate of the School
Recent PhD student of the School of Philosophy and Religion, Philip Walker Jacobs has been awarded a prestigious prize to participate in the National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Institute entitled 'Representation of the "Other": Jews in Medieval England' which will convene from 13 July through August 2014 at the Oxford Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies in Oxford, England. Dr Jacobs will present work on 'Artistic Depictions of Joseph the Carpenter in Medieval England' which builds upon his PhD thesis. Dr Jacobs teaches at Cape Fear Community College in Cape Fear, North Carolina, USA.
