Study Languages at Bangor

Modern Languages and Cultures at Bangor means learning on a human scale; we offer facilities equal or superior to those found in many larger universities, but in an environment where everybody – students and staff – gets to know each other quickly, and where there's always someone to turn to. You are never "just a name" in our department.

  • Top 10 Satisfied with Course: Modern Languages & Linguistics (5th) - Guardian Good University Guide (2019).
  • German 90% go on to work and/or study 6 months after finishing the course (Unistats using 2016/17 DLHE; Aggregated - all students in German & Scandinavian Studies across 2 years)
  • Spanish BA 85% go on to work and/or study 6 months after finishing the course (Unistats using 2016/17 DLHE; Aggregated - all students in Iberian Studies across 2 years)
