The 2-Year LLB Degree
This two year degree is specially designed for people who have previously undertaken higher education and wish to study for a bachelor degree in Law.
This is for candidates who:
- have successfully completed an honours degree in another subject at Bangor or another accredited institution. Alternatively, equivalent work experience may be considered at the School's discretion.
- have a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 (International candidates)
This is a qualifying law degree approved by the Law Society of England and Wales and recognised for entry onto professional vocational training to become Solicitors or Barristers in England and Wales. Find out more about the types of law degree we offer here at Bangor University.
It is also qualifies graduates of this degree wishing to pursue a legal career in Ireland to take the Law Society of Ireland entrance exams: Final examination / first part (FE-1’s).
This degree involves the study of the seven foundation subjects of a Qualifying Law Degree plus the opportunity to study a few optional law modules which allow for specialisation. Examples of optional modules include Company Law; Consumer Law; Environmental Law; Evidence; Family and Welfare Law; Media Law; Private and International Law; Taxation; Intellectual Property Law and European Legal Systems.
