Mr Alun Oldfield (Retired DCI)

I enjoy engaging with student and discussing Policing operations and explaining why the Police carry out certain functions.

I worked for the Police for 31 years and studied as part of continuous improvement within my area of expertise, Serious and Organised Crime. I was taught by some excellent colleagues and I want to pass on my experiences to new students.

Influencing students critical views on engaging with the Public and their Policing operational approach.

The environment, the professionalism and energy of my colleagues, imparting my experience and knowledge to help students develop and achieve.

I still work within Police Investigations and I am able to continually improve my teaching approach and keep up-to-date with Legislation and Operational changes.
