Every week of the summer holidays CAL:ON Cymru will host Summer Reading Sessions as part of the GO ALL IN campaign for the National Year of Reading. The idea is simple: create the time and space for reading read in our busy, screen-dominated lives.
Summer Reading Sessions will be in a different venue each week. We will create a cosy area outdoors, if the weather is good, and indoors if it isn't! All the venues have a cafe where you can buy refreshments to enjoy as you read.
We have a small selection of Welsh and English language children's books suitable for primary school age children and younger secondary school age. You can also bring your own favourite books from home or the library!
These sessions are free to join and there is no need to register. Please just turn up and grab a book for as long as you like. There is no lower or upper age limit. We ask that responsible parents or carers stay with the children throughout.
Please note: As well as free weekly morning sessions, we have two additional afternoon sessions in Plas Cadnant Gardens 19th August and Plas Newydd 26th August. These two venues charge an admission fee.
