Mrs Gwenan Hine

Gwenan is responsible for the Compliance team with specific responsibility for information governance and compliance, records management, freedom of information, data protection, information security, human tissue, emergency management, ethical and licensing compliance.

She takes a lead in providing advice and guidance for legal and internal policy compliance across the University and acts as the University’s Data Protection Officer and Freedom of Information Officer. Gwenan is the University’s Child Protection Officer, and is responsible for managing the University’s liaison with the police. She is also the University’s emergency management Silver Chair, providing leadership in dealing with any University emergency incident.

Gwenan Chairs the Human Tissue Act Liaison Group and is secretary to the Compliance Task Group, Emergency Planning and Business Continuity Group, Ethics Committee and Ethical Review Committee and is a member of a number of University Task Groups.
