Amcanion cyffredinol
The module will outline the law relating to business organisations, in particular the law relating to partnerships and limited companies. It will consider legal personality, the capital and financing and the management, administration and regulation of companies. It will also briefly look at Insolvency Law and Fraudulent and criminal behaviour.
It is only available for continuing Accounting and Finance students from BCC

The module will allow the student to study the modern English company law and partnership law, in particular the law relating to the registered company, corporate personality, corporate governance, investor protection and liquidation and fraudulent and criminal behavior.

Explain the statutory rules regulating the raising and maintenance of a company’s share capital.

Distinguish between the different procedures by which a company may be wound up and explain the role and function of a liquidator.
