Guest Speaker Profile - Dr Rebecca Heaton
Rebecca is a sustainability expert specialising in land use, forestry and climate change. She served on the UK Climate Change Committee (2017–2021), helping to shape the net zero 2050 target. She has held senior sustainability roles at Lloyds Banking Group, Ovo and Drax, embedding ESG into business strategy across energy, land use and finance. Rebecca holds a PhD in Forestry and has received honorary degrees from Bangor and Loughborough. She is also an experienced non-executive, previously serving on the Natural Environment Research Council.
